Inspired by treasured shoreline finds and vintage naturalist illustrations, the Shell Study Tray is a one-of-a-kind ceramic piece that celebrates the beauty of the sea through the traditional sgraffito technique.

Each tray begins as hand-built stoneware, coated in a rich black slip before every shell illustration is meticulously carved by hand, revealing the natural clay beneath. A clear glaze is then applied, creating striking contrast while preserving the intricate details of each shell. Finished with sculptural shell accents along the rim, no two trays are ever alike.
